I have heard that we prevent patients from going on a requesting spree and submitting multiple service requests. What are the parameters for this?
Specifically how many requests have to be submitted and in what time frame? Do they have to be the same type of service request or is it any type?
We put a 10 minute timer on the exact service requested. This allows the patient to make other types of service requests, for example saying "I'm thirsty" AND "I'm in pain". They could abuse the system by requesting everything simultaneously.
